Awakening: Preordainment (hippie parents who stayed true to their radical roots, born into the heart of the San Francisco movement; her parents didn't care if she experimented, and ultimately awakened when she finally tried pot and shrooms at the same time, seeing the world as a kaleidoscope not just of colors but very keen and clear images, even if they gave her the occasional bad trip flashback), 1985
Mentor: Luna Breckinridge
The Test: Trial by Influence (she actually found her mentor, not vice versa, by homing in on the especially crystal-clear image of the mentor's Avatar, which freaked Luna out a little; but soon Dusty was reeled in and taught the path of the Cult of Ecstasy, earning the freedom to walk her own path by impressing Luna with her confident grasp of the Arts, which she saw as "new perspectives")

Key Event #2: Treachery (as a rule, she avoided fights and conflict in general; occasionally, she found herself chased by cops and MiB behind them, especially when they tried drug sting ops)
Key Event #3: War (she finally committed to a cause in the 90s in Chicago, helping run an effective underground railroad for illegal slavery of children; she joined the Children's Crusade, using her street connections to ferret out a nefarious Nephandic plot to hook teens on heroin, and she helped rescue as many as possible)
Key Event #4: Personal Tragedy (this earned the Nephandi's ire and they dispatched demons to track and harass Dusty everywhere, threatening her life, spoiling her joy, and just being a total downer, maaaaan)
Key Event #5: War (Lyle showed up in Centropolis, Missouri, where she was holed up and helped her summon, confront, and vanquish those demonic entities)
Transition: Victory (Lyle acquired and managed a casino as a point of vigilance against the Nephandi; Dusty was recruited as his right-hand-woman in the new chantry, to help guard against the diabolic forces)

Infuriatingly Mellow
Dusty is the epitome of chill. When the chips are done and demons threatening an eternity of torment are at the gates, she's...still kicked back and relaxed. Even if she's actually ready to defend her friends, home, and even self, she seems like she just doesn't care and is taking it all in stride.

Very low.
Despite her affection for illicit substances, she has immense self-control. Her experience dealing with the Nephandi has keyed her into staying aware of their vile intentions.
