“Kacha!”

History

Date of Birth: August 2nd, 1984
Home: Siwen Li, Shanghai, China
Family: Shao Chin and Yaling (parents), Hai (younger brother)
First Change: Personal Tragedy (poor working-class family in Shanghai, then the city moved in to gentrify their neighborhood and they were forced to move out, to other end of town; Fen-Ji's parents soon spent all of their days either at work or in commute, which left both their children more isolated and increasingly bitter; her Change came after Plague had been slipped into their food by local Nezumi; then local cops came to take her and her brother away for "welfare" and the incident triggered a frenzy of pent-up desperation and rage), 1999
Mentor: Fu Yan
The Test: Trial by Combat (the cops got her brother but she escaped; the local Nezumi tribe had been watching, and scooped her up, bringing her into the ways of the Ratkin; they tested the young and vindictive Nezumi by letting her rescue her brother, who survived the Plague because he was Kin, from the government, which she did with minimal confrontation and a lot of manipulation of locks and sneaking around, and her brother came to live with the tribe)
Comrades: Xok Loy, Mio Mitsu, Mikura Tomitsu, Saigo Sugie, Suhaila Shah, Ravi Dattavalaram, Xiaomao, Kitaro Rintaro, Jilal Dattavalaram, Monobe Takara
Key Event #1: Treachery (Fen-Ji snooped around her old Siwen 'hood, scavenging and scrounging various materials, including explosive-related devices, as the tribe taught her how to make bombs among other violent skills, likely hoping she'd torpedo the Weaver's activities in downtown Shanghai)
Key Event #2: War (and she did successfully blow up a local construction project, causing a major setback for city developers but giving her great satisfaction)
Key Event #3: Personal Tragedy (however, it earned her and her fellow Nezumi a lot of heat, so even as she took the Rank promotion for the deed, she had to accept reassignment, and so she took up the Great Burden and left China altogether for a distant Beast-Court)
Key Event #4: Treachery (she settled on the new court in Kansas City in America, and while most of the hengeyokai didn't appreciate her or her skills, the other Nezumi did, and she helped them secure their street and sewer turf, occasionally by straight-up blowing up the bad guys' bases throughout town; she had gotten very good piecing together materials to make deadly explosives)
Transition: Victory (eventually, Fen-Ji earned the other shapeshifters' grudging respect, gaining another Rank through acknowledgment of her years of fidelity to the court and its laws, noting her discretion as an "acceptably mad" bomber, similarly to her favorite Nezumi Kin in the court)

Battle Scars

Class: Missing Limbs
Description: Fingers missing
Location: Left hand ring/pinky fingers
Origin: Playing with plastique
Effects: Claw damage from her left hand is at -1 damage dice and she suffers +1 difficulty to manual Dexterity rolls that require use of that hand

Fetishes

Universal Trigger
Appearance: A toy remote control
Origin: Gift
Effects: Set off any bomb connected to the trigger
Activation: Only she can use the remote (attuned fetish); it activates only the bomb that she has marked (with a claw) using a Ratkin glyph for the "Wyld" (only one bomb can be marked at a time, though that bomb can be connected to set off others)

Significant Other

Name: Xok Loy, 2006
Nature: Romantic

Loy

Weakness
Acceptably Mad Bomber

Is there a level of acceptance when it comes to mad bombers? One must think of such things when it comes to the Children of Rat!

Likelihood of Corruption

Average.

Blowing shit up is all fun and games if (until) an indiscreet body count racks up commensurate Wyrm taint.
