“I will show you the fathomless fury of hwarang-do!”

History

Date of Birth: February 22nd, 1984
Home: Munch'on, Kangwon Province, North Korea
Family: Ki Jun-ho and Yeo-Jin (parents), Dae-ho (older brother)
Kun Shou: Personal Tragedy (Bo-Ra grew up poor in North Korea in a mid-sized port city on the east coast; her schooling demonstrated the aptitude that the government sought for espionage, and she was recruited into the Reconnaissance Bureau and became a spy in South Korea; however, she was later exposed by a defector and shot while on mission just outside the DMZ, and she managed to crawl and hide in a ditch while bleeding out; fortunately, the KPA sent a team of commandos under cover of night to recover her and the sensitive intel she possessed on disk, which she wisely hid and handed over only once in a hospital in P'yongyang; but she had been injured so long that she nearly perished, and by the time she seemed on the road to recovery, it was because a Suijen soul had come home to roost), 2002
Mentor: Tu Se-Jung
The Test: Trial by Influence (though the Yü were rare anywhere in Asia, they looked after their own, and Bo-Ra was now the princess of their court; they helped her recuperate from her wounds and helped her remember who she had become; they taught her the basics of Shinma life and appointed her new, old, role within their Court of the Unyielding Blade)
Comrades: Vania Natharshan, Khat Kanya, Zhen Heng, Nitta Kaede, Nekoko
Key Event #1: Awe & Wonder (Bo-Ra settled into court life, enjoying the privileges of royalty, but never neglecting the prudence of the harsh life this court promised, so: she honed her martial mastery, especially hwarang-do, while also changing her identity to leave behind all traces of her existence as an espionage agent; at the same time, the Chu-ih-yu who ran the court directed her to maintain observation only of the local Green Courts of the Kuei-jin vampires)
Key Event #2: War (but it was the Green Courts' Nagaraja allies that became a serious threat; they came after the hsien, likely in search of fabled "Golden Chi", and they came with an army of ghost-slaves; it was all hands on deck at the court's temple grounds, and massive elemental magic was raised to defeat the threat)
Transition: Reassignment (the Yellow Lotus showed up and put the court on notice for its excessive elemental displays; the secret organization also invited Bo-Ra to join its ranks, but she declined; Lord Tu then bestowed a mysterious black feather of power upon her; it tugged her to leave the island and indeed the Middle Kingdom and seek its sister-feathers across the world; combined with the lingering dangers from angry vampires, the court directed her to seek out the answers abroad, leading her to Little Asia in Kansas City, where she found the other feather-bearers, as well as the mystic artifact fan to which the feathers connected, all also martial arts masters, and together they established the Five Winds Pagoda hui t'ung in association with the chi'n ta who held the fan)

Remembrance

Magnitude: Less than a century
Details: Bo-Ra was forced to rely on information from her courtmates to fill in vast gaps of her immortal life prior this reincarnation. She recalls only how she and the court did its best to hold the fort, so to speak, especially during the arrival of the Soviets near the end of World War 2 and the transformation of Korea north of the 38th Parallel from an occupied colony of Japan into a communist nation.
